New Shielding Guidance - March 18th 2021

New guidance has been published today (18th March 2021) by Public Health England for all those categorised as extremely clinically vulnerable. You can read the full letter here

From 1 April 2021, those classed as extremely clinically vulnerable are no longer advised to shield (and therefore will no longer be eligible for SSP, furlough or similar benefits for shielding).

In quite clear guidance, the letter states, “Everyone is currently advised to work from home where possible. If you cannot work from home, you should go to work.”

Those receiving the letter are also being reminded that lockdown laws and measures such as ‘hands, face, space’ still apply.
